Myriad influences are intertwined in Grace’s transcultural background, with inspiration emerging from the burning of 金紙 joss paper at Chinese Buddhist funerals, through to billowing Victorian mourning dresses and 상복 sangbok, (traditional Korean mourning clothes) and integrates the opposing vibrancy and strict monochrome of the cultures’ death rituals.
