happy release day babiesssss! khaya here. this EP was a spontaneous combustion bc the air around the last shut down was just screaaaaming at us to put out songs, so we manically spent the days before and after new years sending each other iphone drums, synth and guitar stems and somehow it all fell into place and became something we were very proud of and eager to share, and @gabigrella provided the mastering glue. the 3 songs we chose to spruce up for this purpose are all centered around a theme of stuckness and approach different angles of breaking free. this was all about presence and process and thank god truly cuz this new years (our anniversary) would have been p empty if we didn’t have this to focus on. the ep is named “i’m on my way” because it’s one step along the way to telling a longer story that is our 3rd album, which is looking like it’s gonna a story of landing...somewhere (it’s a true, in real time story as all moon kissed releases have been and will continue to be, so as to where that landing will be? we don’t have a fucking clue. stick with us to find out🙃) a few more cosmic alignments surrounding this ep: -the photo in the album art (by @sidewalkkilla) was taken at @rub_ulad the night i got a life pivoting tarot reading -another snow day in brooklyn,co-written nearly a year ago on fucking zoom w the incredible @thomasdanielmusic, and it’s. snowing. in. brooklyn 👏 TODAY listen and feel and stream and share and let us know what serendipity is surrounding these songs for u❤️
