A gel cast is the stiffness or crunchiness that you get from using products that have hold - usually gels and sometimes mousse or foam! (And SOME curl creams- usually they are described as ‘defining curl creams’, although as you may have noticed, marketing is not standardized in the curl industry 😅 typically curl creams only have a very soft hold, or none at all). If you have wavy hair or loose curls and you want to enhance your curl, increase volume OR you want to control frizz - then using products that create a cast can likely help you achieve your goals!!
