@umbcclax earns the 2025 Division II Team of the Year. In three seasons, the Retrievers, led by President Kevin Pak, went from 1-12 to 11-5 including a 2-6 2024 campaign. One of the biggest turn arounds in league history, Pak added: “This honor isn’t about one game or one player — it’s about a full team that bought in. I’ve been president of this club since my freshman year, and through all the highs and lows, one thing’s stayed the same: we just love playing lacrosse. For a lot of our guys, this was their first time ever picking up a stick. It was never about being the best team — it was about building something together. I’m just incredibly proud of the boys.”
