it’s 2022 and the disappointment is still there everywhere every field i go. im just gonna leave it here just in case my friends need a reminder that the world is progressing over the view of being humanist & checking their own privileges so they can understand reality is not only what they experience, but reality is empathy & compassion of people outside their own bubbles. the tone-deaf & blind-sided opinions are product of power relation & misogyny. what is the point of being intelligent when you don’t have emotional control? what is the point of understanding theories & practices of your career when you don’t give a single shit about how life have progress in treating people? what is the point of being critical if life that you unfolds dehumanize people that helps your ideas? hypocrisy is the main issues of power, wrapped in an escapist box of success. what is so hard of being held accountable, not becoming a coward by being responsible for your own guilt and say “I am Sorry, I’ll learn the better way”? rape culture starts from the simplest thing you normalized everyday. rape culture grows by continuing the act of arrogance by thinking that life is certain while it’s completely the opposite. humanism isn’t an equation, it’s the act of service. the damage of rape culture is lingering years for the energy and money spend to heal for the victim. the shame is dehumanizing. some people can stand up for themselves but usually it comes from the people who go through a lot of abuse during their life; which is pathetic that is the standard doubled up for being Competent one needs to go through abuse beforehand. feminism is not only for women of power. feminism is for anyone from any background that has relation to femininity to be treated equally. feminism won’t work if men don’t check their privileges to be an ally and push themselves to get educated out of the patterns that goes wrong for ages. agent of change won’t move if you don’t wanna do self-actualization to heal from your intergenerational trauma that subconsciously cultivate to the mental of hating yourself. i hope we all filled with love instead of fear always and forever. love, karina.
