We LOVE this DIY science experiment from @inspired_little_learners 🤩 Not only will it allow your child to discover the properties of liquids of different densities, it will also encourage them to practice: 🤏 The pincer grasp. 🎨 Color recognition. 🤔 Logic and problem-solving skills. Here’s how you can recreate this experiment at home: ✨ Pour vegetable oil in the test tubes from the Liquid Color Lab. ✨ Pour some water into the cups of a muffin tin and add a different food coloring to each cup. ✨ Show your child how to use the droppers from the Liquid Color Lab to transfer the colored water to the test tubes of oil. As your little one experiments, ask questions like, “What do you think will happen if you put yellow water drops into the tube with the blue water drops in it?” Talk about results, such as why the two don’t mix (hint: water is denser than oil). You can find the Liquid Color Lab in The Problem Solver Play Kit at the link in our bio! 💕 Please supervise your child at all times during this activity and safely dispose of the water and foam when they’re finished playing. #Lovevery #EarlySTEM #DIYActivities #ToddlerTok
