WE NEED TO REFRAME THE NARRATIVE AROUND THE STRIKES !!! It’s not just that we should support the strikers, the strikers are supporting us !!! Performative (social media deference politics for instance ) and symbolic activism (student protests) -well it’s debatable how much that affects the ruling classes who are often adept at absorbing this kind of dissent into the fabric of the status quo- further strengthening it ! Labour striking on the other hand shuts shit down and currently seems like the only option for making our voices heard and actually forcing the desperately needed change
