Repost from @thecrystalmethod • Exactly 25 years ago our lives were forever changed. On August 26, 1997 Scott and I released “Vegas”, our debut album. We were just so happy to have finished it and to get it released at the time; we had no idea it would sell well over a million copies and take us all over the world to places and events we had only dreamed of. It was all so different then, everyone still bought CD’s; there was vinyl, cassette and even a “minidisc” of Vegas sold back then. There was no Spotify, no iTunes, no iPhone; people went to record stores and bought their music. We were so busy touring and promoting the album for so long we never had a chance to step back and take it all in. We were two kids from Las Vegas that loved Rock music, raves, and working all night in The Bomb Shelter (our home studio). We’ve received so many blessings from so many of you over the years and it all started with the release of Vegas. I’m so grateful to all of you, to my family, my wife, and to Scott, my best friend and partner for over 30 years. I’m retired now but The Crystal Method still rocks on (you should be streaming Scott’s latest “The Trip Out” right now 😉). The release of Vegas was and will always be one of the most important events in my life.
