Last year, @repealcocktails and I asked ourselves a question: How do you create something new while still recognizing your history when you’re opening a bar in a hotel that has hosted live performances by Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, KISS, Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga, Elton John, Cream, Frank Sinatra, Sonny & Cher, and so many more? Our answer: To create a menu inspired by live music and concert posters and bring in the incredible @tinamross and @sodabackinc to collaborate and make it all happen. Thus, LIVE AT CENTURY PLAZA was born. Bound in red (vegan) leather on heavy linen paper, we wanted it to feel like we were dropping a Taschen book on your table. From the original posters, to the period relative glassware illustrations, to the song lyrics tied to each drink; the more time you spend with the menu at The Bar at Century Plaza, the more you discover. Of course, CJ’s cocktails equally deliver on presentation and taste, alongside elevated bar food from @chefatticusgarant. And obviously we have live music!
