Postcard from Mexico! Here are a few things we did, ate, and loved that are worth noting. SAVE this to your travel folder if you’re heading to Mexico City! In the comments add your favorite CDMX places to visit so we can see them! We stayed at @octaviacasa.mx a 6 bedroom Michelin-star boutique hotel in Condesa! The team was wonderful! LOVED! I will miss my morning lavender latte @iddisbakery a few doors down from the hotel. Best cakes too! Mexico City is one of the best for food, you can even make a dent when you have just 5 days! But my favorite food didn’t come from a guide it was recommended by our cooking class instructor and it was hands down the best food we had AND so affordable! @trinidad_ritual_de_sabores in the market next to the Frida Museum. It’s small but I am dreaming about the flavors. Best Mexican food I’ve ever had. @lardomexico (loved for dinner!), @panaderiarosetta for breakfast or lunch best pastries ever. I didn’t love Rosetta for dinner (a little too fancy and $$). And of course... plenty of street tacos! @luchalibreaaa was so much fun – wild, crazy, and worth it for a one-time experience! @auramexcooking fiesta class was so fun making margaritas, guac, and fresh tortillas. @nimaurbanspa was beautiful and so relaxing. We did hydrotherapy. Next time I’ll do a massage instead of a facial. We didn’t shop much, but my favorite store was @proyecto.rufina – I wanted everything! They have a few locations. @lagunacyprien candles, sprays and body. Also loved @xinuperfumes Perfumes if you’re in the Polanco area. Xochimilco: Fun to experience, but I’m glad we went on a weekday because weekends are said to be crazy. We didn’t book ahead, just took a taxi to the dock and it was about 750 pesos for the four of us. Frida museum was beautiful and worth visiting. While you’re in the area, explore Coyoacán Market and eat at Trinidad! The area has charming cobblestone streets and so much character. Can’t wait to take my kids back to Mexico City so they can explore!
