October 12, 2021 • When i tell you i was completely taken aback by the outpouring of support and love (in real life and on social media) last Tuesday is an understatement. Wow. I still stumble upon messages and missed story tags, and it's overwhelming in the best of ways for oh so many reasons. Tbh I've written and rewritten this caption a couple times - sharing my journey back into this room, the growth and healing, scaling the walls of mental health, doctors, therapy, an unfathomable amount of energetic smudging, and a journey of grief + loss, forgiveness + gratitude, and of self love. But then I realized the network of spirits closest to me in this moment/ in this lifetime, a network that grows smaller by the day, are the ones who have held my hand and sat by my side. And they already know. This is a moment worth celebrating. Moulin Rouge is a story about love. a continuous adventure that spans the gamut of emotions for me and for us all. My god am i full of gratitude for the privilege to do this again, to do what i love, on stage (and safely) alongside an incredible group of artists and humans, and for the lessons i learn every single day.
