Unmoving, unwavering, calm, unbiased, thoughts rippling out. The feeling of time fleeting, the last days of summer, winding down and inspiring us to embrace our chosen family, our friends, our soulmates. The chaos and busyness of life sometimes distracts us from the joys felt and found, in little moments of connection. It’s my hope to be more present and make more room for simply being. I collected so many voiceovers in the process of seeking and searching for “the right” stories to carry us through these 2 minutes, and yet the most impactful one, was a story of my dear friend falling in love last summer. She spoke of her and her lover walking down a path lit only by the moon light. I listened to friends recount their travels around the world, I listened to friends speak of holding their breath under water, swimming down to depths never before reached. Depth in water, but depths and understandings realized within too. I listened to laughter, recordings from parties. I listened to crying, friends comforting one another. Each story, each experience, even as a witness, brought me closer to myself, closer to being and closer to God. Remembering too, as the “end” of a season happens, the “Last Days” are in motion, that perhaps that ending is instead a new beginning. Beginning again while in the midst of change, purifying, like water, myself, my soul and my spirit. I hope this makes you feel something.
