💌 I’ve tried to write this message for a long time now. It’s been revised countless times, and I’ve scrapped it over and over again. It’s a message I knew would one day need to be written—I just didn’t know when or how. I’ve been avoiding this moment, even though, deep down, I knew it was time. Change is scary, but there are times when change is necessary. I won’t forget the day EnjoySLO, my “yellow dot,” came to life and changed my world. The brand grew in ways I both did and did not expect. I am so deeply thankful to all of you for your support of my journey and the stories of our local businesses 🙏 Eight years ago, it was so hard to find out about events and happenings. You had to hear about them through word of mouth or spot a flyer at a coffee shop. Through the years, I’m so happy to say that throughout the county, our leaders have really stepped up their game to share the best things going on. It’s with great joy and gratitude that I step into a new phase of my life as @michelle.enjoys. You may wonder what’s going to happen to EnjoySLO and what this new chapter will look like. To be honest, I don’t know—and I’m okay with that. I hope to tell stories at my leisure, spend time in foreign lands, enjoy my husband, laugh with friends, and cuddle my dog in my arms for longer periods of time. I hope to eat and drink well, and to care for my body and mind. I hope to be the best I can be while still serving my community. They say we have only 4,000 weeks to complete the things we want to do. What will we do with that special time? Welcome to my new chapter.
