We are all human. We make mistakes. We all face challenges. That’s why I believe it’s important to have the courage to stand up and share our stories. Building connection and growing together is the best. Our successes. Our trials and tribulations. Things we have been through to become the amazing people we are today. Telling your story can inspire others and bring a smile. That’s why I encourage you today to tell someone, something about your life that can help them. I’m not one to give up if I believe in something. I go all in. It’s taken me a lot of time and hark work to get to where I’m at today. I’ve been doing music for over 22 years. Started playing guitar at 15. Did I ever imagine myself on tour playing in front of thousands and thousands of people. YES! Don’t ever lose sight of what you want!! You have to envision & believe! Did I ever quit? ....yes! I had a loss prevention job at Home Depot for 4 years in south St. Louis. Thinking that a steady, grown up job would make me happy. But it didn’t. Being the top LP in the company, denying promotions wasn’t cutting it. I picked up DJing & was offered a European DJ tour. I had a choice to stay or go. What did I do? You bet your ass I left for Europe. ...Here is where the story telling hits. Had a conversation with someone I met in Lille, France. He asked me the famous question “what do you do.” I told him “I’m a musician.” He said “No. How do you pay your rent?” I told him “Home Depot.” He told me “Then that’s what you do. If I want to be a musician, then go all in.” Ever since that conversation, I came back to the states and applied myself to be the best DJ I knew how to be. Was I broke AF? Yes. Was it hard? ABSOLUTELY! Working hard for what you believe in makes the reward so much more deserving. Let me finish with this. You do things out of two ways.
