I realize that in this fast paced world. Our younger generation don’t often understand what sacrifices people like Dr King made for us to enjoy the liberties that we often take for granted. Not only did he have an unbreakable spirit and dedication way beyond my comprehension. He was also a fearless visionary and influenced change in many things beyond the treatment of African Americans. I took time to share some thoughts on what Dr King mentally and physically faced as he risked it all and paid the ultimate price. I will post this annually and invite others to chime in other insights I might not have touched on. Hopefully these thoughts will be a reminder and eye opener to young men and women that the freedom we enjoy today wasn’t free. It’s people like Dr King that sacrificed it all for us. So please take full advantage of all opportunities this great country has to offer. Because there is no promise that we will be free forever.
