BIOROCK is coming to London for London Design Festival as part of #TomDixonTWENTY. ⁠ ⁠ BIOROCK: when a small amount of low-voltage current (typically generated by solar power) is passed through a metal framework, a chalky deposit similar to limestone will grow at an accelerated rate in a phenomenon known as mineral accretion, which may be a way of capturing carbon and of re-generating the quickly disappearing coral reefs. ⁠ ⁠ The idea that we could eventually look at growing furniture underwater rather than fabricating it in landlocked factories appeals to us.⁠ ⁠ Discover the BIOROCK chair and so much more at our TWENTY exhibition from 17th September at Tom Dixon's HQ in @coaldropsyard.⁠ ⁠
