Last week’s Supreme Court rulings, culminating in the overturning of #RoeVWade, proved to us once again that the state does not care about, respect, or protect Black women, girls, and gender expansive young people. The Court’s decisions and ensuing the public backlash remind us what we already know to be true: that we are all we got. We will continue to aid and abet abortions, we will continue to share material resources and support one another, we will continue to push for creative legislation at the local and state level to protect and expand access to care, and we will not stop fighting until we ALL have full bodily autonomy. Together, we can create the world we want, need, and deserve, but we know the battle is just beginning. In order for our reproductive revolution to come to life, no one with power over us can know peace, and this begins when we take up the role of the menace.
