Same makeup, different lighting ✨ Learning how to choose the proper lighting when taking photos/videos of your clients is crucial. When trying to determine which tone of lighting is most flattering to your client you have to consider 3 things. 1. THE TONES IN THE SKIN- if it’s already naturally warm, sometimes a warm light can make things look very yellow/orange/red. And if the client is naturally cool toned, the cool toned lighting can wash them out. 2. THE TONES IN THE MAKEUP: Hannah’s eye makeup is a deep grey/blue so the cooler lighting shows the eye colors in their truest form. Whereas, the warm toned lighting altered the the color and made the eyeshadow look more nuetral/warm. 3. THE TONES IN THE REST OF THE ROOMS LIGHTING: is there natural lighting? Ring lighting? Overhead lighting? Fluorescent lighting? Bathroom lighting? Your answer will determine which tone of lighting is best paired with the existing light.
