This summer I was asked to direct a short film for a collaboration between @sidetrackedmag and @porsche . We were tasked with telling the story of @andrew_cotty and his connection to the enormous waves that break below the iconic Nazare lighthouse. This was a special project for multiple reasons, but I particularly enjoyed working with a larger-than-usual @coldhouse_ team. I was simultaneously directing the film, shooting the land based photographs and keeping a handle on the creative and narrative for the water unit. It sounds like I lot, but when you’re supported on the ground by over a dozen talented people things become much easier. Filmmaking is a team sport, and working with @helio_antonio and @eduardo_vento was a proper joy.
