I was in the flower market that morning. It was a beautiful, blue skied Tuesday and suddenly all changed before my eyes. The night before, I had introduced a friend to a girl, now his wife, and luckily he “overslept,” missing the delivery to the “Windows of the World” in the North Tower. We talk about it every year and I’m glad he is still around to tell the story but unfortunately so many others didn’t have the same fate. My respect to all first responders, volunteers and families that lost a loved one.
