This year has been filled with blessings in disguise. So many things that I am grateful for didn’t start out feeling good but that’s life right? There is one specific thing I want to share that I am the most grateful for which is friends that feel more like family. Since having kids, life is just about tending to them growing them sculpting them feeding them lol and making enough money to have them. Life has also been super lonely. We live in a remote area with only about 5000 people to choose from to connect with. At this point I had given up hope in finding another family that felt like an extension of our own. But then one day River, being the extrovert he is, found the perfect family and I caught him spilling all our information to them 😋 I didn’t think anything of it at first, I was borderline annoyed and ready to leave tbh. We ended up staying for HOURS, chatting, playing, talking about goals, and ways we raise our family that isn’t “the norm”. I ended up calling Jake, interrupting his precious time to paint and feel human, and telling him that he should come to the lake becuz I think we may have found some friends. That day was honestly life changing for our family. Everyday I’m in my head I’m asking is this what people are talking about when they say friends that become family? Is this too good to be true? Does this end badly? Does it ever end? Will we be the lucky ones and have these awesome relationships that grow together, creating the core memories we dream of for our children? I can’t answer any of those questions right now. But what I can do is zone those out and just let this ride. Treasure it for however long it lasts and be grateful for literally every day 🫶🏼 Hope you’re having a nice holiday!
