YOUR STORY - Sheyla Sanchez My name is Sheyla Sanchez and I’m 30 years old. In my short age (cough, cough) I have encountered countless obstacles in the pursue of the American Dream As a young girl, I migrated to the United States leaving my homeland and my mother behind. At the age of 16, I already had a full-time job, college credits, and attended high school full time. I then moved to the concrete jungle where I discovered my love for fashion, the freedom of having my own identity and got pregnant with my beautiful daughter 5 years ago, I moved to Phoenix in the pursue of a better quality of family life. Unfortunately, I became a single parent shortly after moving and life as a young mom became a bit harder A lot of challenges have made me the strong woman I am proud of today: I’m a fighter, a go-getter, a fear tackler, a hustler, ambitious and courageous. I’m also a sweet loving spiritual soul looking to have the most beautiful physical experiences in this world I’m a jack of all trades when it comes to how I bring bread to my table. I juggle a 9-5 job while attending modeling academy, Corella and Co. I’m studying to become a REALTOR, owned a Picnic Rental business, a YouTube channel, and a blog. I’m a friend, sister, girlfriend, daughter, mom, aunt, and just a simple girl Out of all the hats I wear my favorite is being a mom to a lovely and sassy 7-year-old girl who is not my main motor to keep pushing in life, but also the reason I crave and pursue success My purpose in life is to pave an easier road than the one I had to travel to be where I am. Even if all ventures fail, I want her to be proud and say, “Mom gave it her all, she tried”. I want to be her number one cheerleader and her shoulder to cry on when situations get rough My passion for becoming successful has fueled my soul with a desire to give everything I have a passion for a try no matter how hard days may get. In my sad days, I remember how far I’ve come, how that young girl from the Dominican Republic that left her mother behind, and all material things has broken barriers, melted hearts, learned a new language, made lifelong friends could do it, so could I!
