People ask why I fly fish. It can be tough logistically, it’s expensive, you get tangled and it takes 20 minutes to re-tie everything, you release the fish back into the river instead of eating it, the list goes on. But for me it’s simple. You hang out with your best friends, in beautiful places, and try to hook some of the most amazing fish in the world. To quote the OG Herbert Hoover: “When all the routines and details and the human bores get on our nerves, we just yearn to go away from here to somewhere else.
