Arenal Volcano August 2022 __________________________________ After some much needed rest & rejuvenation with @mindset__yoga for their third retreat, I had to fulfill my adventure needs. I drove inland from Playa Flamingo on the Pacific Coast towards Arenal - an active volcano in the northern part of Costa Rica. Within a couple hours, the landscape and the climate drastically changed and I felt like I was in a different world all together. My time in the region was short lived as I had a flight to catch the next day, but the drive alone was worth the effort. There are over 60 volcanos in Costa Rica, with 6 of them still active - Arenal being one of them. As one of the most symmetrical volcanos in the world, it’s quite a sight to witness. It’s also the one of the youngest of the volcanos on Costa Rica - roughly 4000 years old. Reflecting on my time in Costa Rica, I know I’ve barely scratched the surface and can’t wait to visit again.
