2021, one of our quieter years. 🌊 Some of you might not know, we are 100% volunteer run. Which means 100% of donations/proceeds go straight to sharks and our efforts trying to conserve them. Usually, our main source of fundraising is through events, which we have been unable to do due to the pandemic and our President has had an ongoing health issue, so we haven’t been able to put as much effort into online fundraising as we would have liked to — because the campaign groundwork for the sharks always comes first to us. 🙏 So despite these hardships, we are proud to have drafted legislation that looks at an Australian Federal Fin Ban and set up our campaign (launching sometime in 2022!), worked with a bunch of fellow shark conservationists, partnered with some wonderful ethical small businesses, and had our first prime time news story feature about the Australia’s shark culling program. A huge shoutout to our volunteers and supporters, for all your continued support this year — it means a lot to us, and to the sharks. And to those that have been so kind to purchase merchandise from our online store, we are sorry about the postal delays this year! Here’s to another year doing what we do best, saving sharks!
