Years from now, I’m sure I’ll end up remembering a lot of things that I learned during the Great Quarantine of 2020: learning how to make fresh pasta, how to play the pedal steel, 開始學中文, how to prune my (one) household plant, trying and ultimately rejecting sweatpants (linen for the win), finding out about liquor delivery, finally using FaceTime etc. But, most importantly, I’m sure I’ll end up remembering 2020 not for innumerable fires and elections and protests and loss and death and suffering but rather as the year I was finally tabbed by the Internet. Thanks to @jonathanleahy for letting me be a part of the Wyld Stallynz crew who’ve been recognized for their work this year. The 14-year-old version of me furiously picking apart the Kirk Hammett solo from “One” on HarmonyCentral.com would think this was way more excellent than all this pedal steel nonsense.
