For this year’s #DisabilityPrideMonth in July, UK-based Sukhjeen Kaur, the founder of Chronically Brown, spoke to us about her organization @chronicallybrown, and her identity as #DesiAbled.🫶🏾 @sukhjeen was diagnosed with #RheumatoidArthritis when she was 20, and that’s why two years ago, she founded #ChronicallyBrown to create a community for other brown people with disabilities.👌🏿Together, they break down cultural stigmas and allow people to get a holistic understanding of disability.👇🏾👇🏿 💭"Within the South Asian community, we tend to view disability as a physical impairment, that we’re all wheelchair users. [But] disability is so broad and different for every person, even if you have the exact same condition or injury.
