We are proud to announce that we have launched our new consumer positioning strategy: #YourDermatologistKnows. There has been a collective concern among our members that the AAD needs to do more to make sure the public knows that dermatologists are *the* experts in treating skin, hair, and nails. Our research shows that the majority of Americans already have a positive perception of dermatologists’ expertise. . But the same research shows that young people are more open to seeking care from non-physician clinicians. By positioning dermatologists as personable experts the public can trust, this new strategy aims to advocate for our members and ensure dermatology’s strong position with the public does not erode as other providers attempt to claim our expertise. .
