Last evening in Geneva, the second Royal Oak ever made (reference 5402ST A2) was sold @phillipswatches for five times its pre-sale estimate to achieve CHF 1,058,000 - a world record for a vintage Royal Oak at auction. It was closely followed by The ‘Lagerfeld’ Royal Oak reference 5402ST, a characteristically blackened stainless steel Jumbo believed to have been purchased in Italy in 1974 and worn by the designer, which realised CHF 937,500. @audemarspiguet #royaloak50years
