Dear Toronto musicians, professional and amateur: Are you unsatisfied with your current practice situation, or worry about where you will be able to practice in the future? I am designing a new service to combat this common issue in Toronto. The proposed solution, under the working title “My Practice Room”, is where musicians can purchase a monthly subscription for access to practice space at the site of a partnering host business, during the business’s closed hours. For example, a clarinetist living in a condo building could practice at the building of a willing afterschool program, before they open daily.
