Stop by The Bass on Thursday October 20 for an emotional musical performance presented by IlluminArts (@illuminartsmia): María Martínez-Cañas: Revelations. In this free musical performance, IlluminArts explore the layers of hidden meaning beneath and within, the works Maria Martinez-Cañas (@mphotogram) created for her exhibition, Absence Revealed #atTheBass. The performance includes new improvisations by internationally renowned cellist, Sæunn Thorsteinsdottir (@saeunncello), and songs sung by soprano Nell Snaidas (@nsanidas) and mezzo-soprano Elise Quagliata (@eliseqmezzo), with Jenny Snyder (@snidejenny) and Koh Kazama (@kohkazamaguitar) collaborating on piano and guitar. The musical program will be performed twice throughout the evening, first at 6:30 PM and again at 7:45 PM. Culture Crawls at The Bass takes place every third Thursday from 6 – 9 PM.
