Applying glue to one side of a paper shape and sticking it to a larger piece of paper may not sound like cognitive development, but it is. 🧠 Learning to use glue develops hand-eye coordination and fine motor planning skills. It also helps your child understand the sensory concept of stickiness! 🍯 At first many children will put glue on the paper and then add a shape or two. As they become more aware of the sequence of gluing, you may notice that they begin to put the glue on the shape first. When you feel like your child is ready to explore glue, the Sticky Shapes Glue Station is a great tool for getting them started! 🟢🔺🟦 👉 Open the little glue pot and squirt a bit of the nontoxic glue into it. 👉Give your child the brush for applying the glue to the colorful paper shapes. 👉Demonstrate how to stick a shape, glue-side down, to other scraps of paper you have on hand. As your child experiments with this new substance, they might want to explore it with their fingers or dip paper directly into it. 📃 They’ll most likely need your help, especially when bits of paper start sticking to them. 😂 Please be sure to discard the stopper on the glue bottle, as it can be a choking hazard. Please also supervise your child at all times during this activity and safely put away all materials when they’re finished playing. 🎥 @thematernalhobbyist #Lovevery #ToddlerArt #KidsCrafts #ToddlerSubscriptionBox #DIYProject #ToddlerMom
