Gale’s Apartment the Grammy Award winning EP is finally out. Brat summer is over I sat down for a few weeks last summer and churned out a bunch of recordings in a frenzy that I’m glad happened. This project is about all kinds of things, but mostly how complicated my relationship creativity can feel sometimes and how hard it is to push past the horrors that stop me from finishing songs. It’s also about how my relationship with gender changed in the last few years, and a relationship that challenged a lot of my self worth. It’s also about the passing of one of my high school friends, who I think about every day and who was involved in my first experiences with producing music.
