I think sometimes we forget that things in life are temporary. You're not guaranteed that your marriage will last. Either separation or death might end your marriage. Yes, Allah (SWT) tells you you don't have to work during your marriage, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have some sort of your own income. Not working is the bare minimum, and you need to tie your camel. Whether you negotiate household chores with your husband so you can work part-time or full-time, or ask your husband to include your name on any property he purchases, or ask your spouse for a weekly allowance, set up a nice deferred mahr in a pre-nup in the case of divorce, or start your own side hustle, get creative. Find solutions instead of obstacles. Your financial security is one of THE most important things you can work towards in your life. There are too many women who cruise way too comfortably during their marriages and then life happens (whether divorce or death) , and they are left with nothing. Our grandparents and parents maybe chose not to work, but that's because they also had LESS options than we do today. The internet and remote work provides a LOT of opportunities these days. It's something you have to REALLY think about and be intentional about. Also, deeply think about this if you are in the talking stages with a potential spouse as well. Don't get caught up in the haze/romanticism of getting married. #moneymindset #moneymotivation #millionairemindset #healthiswealth #financialmotivation #financialinspiration #wealthmindset #moneymanagement #moneytips #moneycoach #moneyjourney #moneyadvice #financialfreedomstartshere #increaseyourincome #savemoneylivebetter #millennialmoneymindset #moneymatters #moneymoves #femaleinfinance #femaleempowerment #womanempowerment #knowyourworthladies #empowerher #SHEEO #fempire #selfmadewomen
