A great opportunity for me was to join @undp in Armenia to visit southern part of Armenia #syunikprovince.⁣🚀 ⁣ We had meetings with the mayor of Goris municipality and Mayor of Kapan and the governor, together with some local entrepreneurs.⁣ One meeting that made a huge impression on me was with Womens Resource Center,.⁣ They address womens limited participation in public and economic life in Armenia. ⁣ ⁣ The women who I meet came from a very tough financial background, often as a result of conflict, as well as being victims of patriarchy. However the level of ambition, fierceness and willingness to support themselves and take themselves and their families out of poverty was truly inspiring. ⁣ ⁣ Their individual stories was inspiring to hear and even gave me encouragement to not be afraid of hardship and challenges in life.
