Sunday afternoon's matchup between the Cheaters and Public Enemy offered one of the most riveting games Drew League fans have seen all season. In former iterations, both teams were the last two teams to win the championship after going undefeated (Cheaters as BB4L before their split, PE as Birdie's Revenge before changing sponsors). Going into this game, it promised to be a knockdown, drag-out slugfest. That's exactly what it delivered, as Cheaters came out of the tip-off throwing haymakers behind the jaw-dropping shooting of new addition Ben Okhotin. Combined with Casper Ware Jr.'s veteran leadership and shark-like scoring and defense, it looked like Cheaters might win handily in the first half. But Public Enemy has earned a reputation as the best counterpunching team in the Drew and in the second half, they showed why. Shooting guard Tra Holder exploded from three, incensed by his Cheaters counterpart Okhotin's first-half performance. Both wound up finishing with 5 made threes, but Holder's line was more efficient; he only shot 6 to Okhotin's 10. Meanwhile, PE's leader, Frank "Nitty" Session, finally returned to form, giving his best game in weeks. The vintage Frank Nitty performance resulted in 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists, buoyed by impressive frontcourt play from Montrezl Harrell and Marcus Bell. Anytime you get a duel between vintage Nitty and Cas, it's a great day, no matter who pulls out the win. This time, it was Public Enemy, 89-76, but we can all only hope that these two teams meet in the playoffs. #TheDrew šŸ“ @aaronsmarter šŸŽ„ @hustle_2k
