Being an athlete, it’s so easy to lose sight of what really matters. I constantly catch myself questioning my abilities, questioning my future, getting caught up on bad performances, and asking if I’m good enough. The constant worry and anxiety these questions raise take a toll on you not only mentally but physically as well. If you’ve been there, you know it’s a scary place to be. But it’s in these times, where we have no choice but to surrender, we see His power. God, your power’s found in the roughest waters. Just when I thought I was at my lowest, when I thought I couldn’t go any longer, you reached out your hand. Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.” He’s right there with us. Waiting for us to lay down every fear and surrender. No storm is too big for Him to bring you out of. I love this song because it’s a constant reminder that I don’t have to have it all figured out.
