Y’alllllll I watched this & cried. This is my Mama who I love & I am her only child. Some years we are v close & others we put the boundaries up. I used to think we were just too different & as I get older I realize how alike we are. Both lovers of freedom, fun & fine things. For awhile my Mama was a single mom & those years were critical. She ruled w/ an iron first & I am who I am b/c of that & in spite of that. In those years, she saw I had a gift & I credit her w/ my love of writing. However, I didn’t inherit her love of working out! Ha! She’s generous w/ her time & works out a group of Black senior citizens every week. I adore that about her. I orbit out but always find my way back to my mothership. My portal to this planet. I honor her for making this world possible for me. Happy Mother’s Day to my fly ass Virgo mama & y’all’s too!
