Writing As The String of the Yo-yo, 2022 acrylic and gouache on paper for @nyrbooks I read Norman Rockwells biography and I loved the story of him carrying wet oil paintings on the train in his lap for the Saturday Evening Post... Making work for me is ideally an experience IRL... painting on paper and then text done in a hotel room in Tokyo. A really nice interview with the magazine is linked in my bio.
