17!!! i’m officially in my dancing queen year!! my birthday was simply PERFECT! in every single way it was absolutely amazing! all throughout my day i was surrounded by special people in my life that made me feel so loved every single second of my day! my day started at 4am and we had a hour and half drive to watch the sunrise on Roan Mountain at Carvers Gap with my friends and YoungLife leader- which was more than absolutely worth the early morning!! we sang on our hike up. when we got up to the top we had a picnic with donuts and orange juice while we had a devotional watching the sunrise... PERFECT! the Lord never fails to amaze me each and every day and maaannn did he show off with that sunrise!!! i got to spend the rest of the day on the lake with my friends and family which again was... PERFECT! not only did i get to watch the sunrise, but i watched the sunset too- this time on the boat, again... PERFECT! then we go home to tacos... PERFECT! and we saved the best for last! we watched/ fell asleep to my all-time favorite movie ever mama mia... PERFECT! if you really know me, then you would know i don’t just celebrate for one day only. so the next day, we had another lake day... PERFECT!! i got to eat steak and have an arnold palmer at my favorite restaurant- fox and hound... SO PERFECT! there we got to share the cake that i baked with grammy (my favorite- german chocolate!).... Again, PERFECT! i got to finish my day with a sleepover at the lake with my grammy... COMPLETELY PERFECT! so if you read this far, you would have an idea of how perfect my birthday weekend was for me. i am so grateful for the people that God has placed in my life that make TONS of my days perfect! God truly does not disappoint- He is astonishing!!! i’m so blessed that He has given me 17 years!!
