Ed and Mary Ternan of @song4charlie for @nytimes Ed and Mary’s son Charlie sadly passed from fentanyl poisoning after buying what he thought was Percocet off of Snapchat. They now run Song For Charlie, a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness about ‘fentapills’. Photographing them in Charlie’s room was a very emotional and heartbreaking experience.
