If I were in my 30s and 40s, picture 1 & 2 would go to the delete file. Picture 1 shows my little stomach pooch, and picture 2 shows my very flat nose. ( it’s total an asian thing) Funny how both pictures were taken 5 minutes apart, and my abs looked so toned in the 2nd one. Now you know how angles play an important role in images, right? But in my 50s, I started to see these pictures differently. I realized they were part of me and they became important. The picture with the belly reminded me of all the happy times and sweet treats I've had. It showed that I've lived a full life, and that's more important than having a perfectly flat stomach. The picture of my nose started to make me proud. It's a unique part of who I am, connected to my heritage and family history. It's not something to be ashamed of, but something to celebrate. Sometimes people would tell me that I still look great, even with these things. And that got me thinking - beauty is subjective for everyone . What I see as flaws, others might find beautiful. We, especially as women, can be really hard on ourselves and always want to change things about our looks. But we forget that we are beautiful in our own way. When we're young, we don't understand this. It's as we get older that we start to appreciate ourselves more. With age comes wisdom, and we learn to love and accept who we are. So, next time you're not happy with your reflection, remember that even the most beautiful people have felt the same way. But it's up to you to decide how you feel about yourself. Remember, you are uniquely beautiful, and your worth goes far beyond what meets the eye. Embrace your uniqueness and let your inner light shine brightly . These pictures are all me, and they're all beautiful, just the way I am. #thisis53 #acceptyourself #youarebeautiful #youarebeautifulthewayyouare #proaging #embraceaging #styleinspirations #loveyourface #ageisaprivilege#bodypositive #over50women#over50style#youarebeautifulthewayyouare
