THIS IS YOUR FUCKING REMINDER TO TAKE A TEXTURED HAIR CLASS! You heard me bitch, time to step outside of your comfort zone and step into the uncomfortable that will make you stronger in your color theory, technique, and a understanding of hair. Listen, there is so many amazing educators out there to learn from. But hear me out bitch, after learning from educators that focus on texture. Just like that little ho ass bitch said up there, I woulda began with learning from coily, kinky, different curl patterned hair. WHY? Well bitch let me just say when you learn about how you need approach texture. In such a different way than say fine, straight, even slightly wavy hair, ya mind will be blown🤯. And ANY texture will seriously be so much more of breeze. Im not saying just textured focus education is the only way. But if you want to be well rounded, in hair not learning how to do ALL texture is ( In my ho ass opinion ) a disservice to ourselves bitch. I know so many stylist, including myself in the beginning, that would reach for the 40 thinking that oh this type of hair can take this 4o volume ass beating like a champ! WRONG BITCH. you have to be way more gentle when doing coarse wavy hair. Naturally textured hair is already porous as fuck, the cuticle is open, so go in low and slow and baby the hairs 15vol, is my choice. Juts a- small example, along with styling, brush out, placement, and product choice will always be extremely different too. Try to find a mentor, educator, teacher, that speaks about hair in terms of texture instead of color. My favorites i have learned so mych from are @lisalovesbalayage , @leysahairandmakeup these two bad ass ladies have nailed this realm to a fucking T. And its been time we start giving these fucking amazing phenomenal dope ass stylist some more time to shine.
