More often than not, being a mother is being a cheerleader, a cheerleader who never loses faith in her team. I have loved sitting on the sidelines watching my children surf big waves, jump high, try new things and stretch themselves. Today though, the tables have turned. I’ve been nervous for days but when self-doubt has been loud, my cheerleaders have been louder. I’ve looked over to the sidelines and seen Tor and my kids there, cheering me on, believing in me, challenging me to step out of my comfort zone. No one has made me feel so brave. In case you need a reminder, I’m cheering for you too. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
