sooo, there’s a lot of you here now.. which i guess means i should introduce myself since it’s long overdue hi, i’m ashley i grew up in rural virginia where most of my childhood consisted of building forts in the woods behind our house, re-organizing my bedroom constantly, fall weekends at my grandpa’s cabin in the mountains, & doing absolutely any creative hobby in addition to lots of mental health issues because of course, being a human & growing up is hard i went to university for social work & planned on working in the sexual/domestic violence prevention sector but unfortunately the universe had other plans two years ago i had a full on existential crisis & decided that if there was ever a time to uproot myself it was then so i headed to arizona to settle with my partner of six years & our two dogs. until shortly after when we decided to give utah a shot in twenty twenty-one i was feeling isolated & uninspired courtesy of a dead end job & living in another new state, so i decided to start capturing my everyday life & sharing it in an attempt to connect with other people it quickly morphed into something i did not expect which is… just a lot of people seeing what i capture & create (which is kind of intimidating to be honest) i’ve spent the last few years trying to come back home to myself & connect with the person i used to be which looks like spending a lot of time trying new things, frolicking around outdoors with our pups, constantly rearranging our space to make the feng shui ~just right~, healing my relationship with food & making it fun again, & getting lost in all the little things that make life worth living
