What is one of the top “skin sins” for oily skin??.....not moisturizing properly! I spent years trying to combat my oily skin by drying it out. I would use clay masks to try and pull that moisture from my skin, use oil-control mattfying lotions, and avoid anything I considered “heavy” on my face. Little did I know I was intensifying the issue. Since I was taking any moisture my skin had it was freaking out and producing more oil, going into oil production overload! Clay masks and mattifying lotions/primers still have a place in my skin routine, BUT I had finally discovered ADDING moisture to my skin is what helped cut back on my skin’s oily production.
