SOMEBODY PINCH ME! After nine years of creating content, I’m reminded of how far God can take you when you trust Him with your dreams. Growing up as a first-generation Nigerian-American, I saw few in the beauty space that I related to and they’ve paved the way for so many women like me. I’ve learned how much representation matters, and how sharing your voice and journey can open doors not just for yourself, but for others like you. For five years, I applied to the Sephora Squad. For five years, the answer was not no but “not yet”. This year, out of thousands of applicants, God said yes. 🙌🏾 Through every closed door, my family’s unwavering support, and a lot of faith, I’ve held on to the truth of my name “Ogechi” knowing that it’s truly only on God’s time.
