Mount Gay has joined forces with Foursquare and St Nicholas Abbey to work together to gain a recognised Geographical Indication (GI) for Barbados rum. ⁠ ⁠ We aim to safeguard the future of the island's main export. The local climate tremendously impacts the finished product, so you would not achieve the same rum in a different country.
