Since I was a kid, I was very fortunate my parents had a video camera and would let me be the designated person to film family events. They’ve always been encouraging to be creative. Documenting always felt like comfort to me. Capturing others and seeing happiness come to light on a screen makes me happy. Capturing beauty in the ordinary of things makes me happy. It’s weird but a lot of the time I feel more like myself behind a camera. It’s been a while but I’m slowly trying to rediscover the artist I shelved away for a while and giving myself a little grace throughout the process. Little by little but hopefully I’ll get there.
