When I went to borrow some garments from @shiftingworlds for the styling of this shoot, I also got some tarot cards. I kept them near me on the day so I could fully immerse myself in the world of reflection, symbolism and spiritualism. Only using Hair and directed poses as a way to elevate the shoot into this “other world” (no props), I’m grateful to finally be ready to share this series called “Gemini”. We shot it at the end of Feb. It took me so long to share these because it was from a time where a lot of things were said / silenced / hurtful. When my anxiety was at it’s peek and when I was just brunt out. I keep learning every day about how to produce a shoot and go with the flow of things. This shoot went so many hours over time because of the way I tried to force things to happen instead of making it work with what I had. It went over time because of me. I felt so bad about myself for so long after this. I let so many people down. I was so anxious to even share these images as they reminded me of this period of time. I can be so hard and judgemental with myself. But it’s not something that’s always bad. I feel like my ideas come from the way I’m hypersensitive about certain things, places, people and situations. Thanks for everyone’s time.
